The Society for Creative Anachronism is sometimes called the “Dream”, and is sometimes called “role-playing”, “re-creation” or “re-enacting”. The level of immersion in the dream is different for everyone. Unfortunately, the ‘real world’ controls much of what we do even when we are trying to be medieval. There are mundane laws and regulations that dictate what we can, and can’t, do. There are Corporations that exist to manage this interface between the mundane (‘real world’) and dream (the Society).
- SCA Inc (US) – the original corporation, which sets the world-wide direction, based in the U.S.A.
- SCA Ltd (AU) – the corporation for events and groups in Australia
- SCA Inc (NZ) – the corporation for events and groups in New Zealand
Membership
